Everyone wants to find fresh ways to make their usual routine a bit more colourful, exciting and nutritious. Our spiralizer has been designed to make it simple for you to do.
Of course, you can slice, peel and core manually, but it takes effort and muscle power!
Take the easy route with the spiralizer attachment for the KitchenAid mixer. Making an apple tart? Perfect - prep the apples with the core and slicing blade of your spiralizer. All ready for your pastry, lemon, sugar and cinnamon.
Pasta is always a winner and so satisfying for hungry stomachs. But it's great to be able to mix things up with a variety of lighter, vitamin-packed alternatives.
Expand your repertoire with a spiralizer accessory from KitchenAid. Try creative vegetables twirls instead of fusilli pasta to mix with olives in a packed lunch.
Similarly, you can make veggie noodles and enjoy the same sauces you would choose for regular noodles like soy sauce, ginger, chilli or spices.
You can give your homemade veggie noodles all sorts of fun names. 'Poodles' for parsnip noodles, 'squoodles' for squash noodles or 'boodles' for brocolli stem noodles.
Our favourite 'swoodles' for sweet potato noodles. Do you have your own silly names? Let us know!
You'll need to choose fruits and veggies that are big enough (at least 3 or 4 cm wide and 5cm long), with a reasonably firm consistency (not squishy, full of pips or hollow). The colder the better, try freezing veggies like cucumber for 5 minutes first.
Make sure the vegetable or fruit is held firmly in place on the skewer. As well as eating the spiralized foods raw, you can cook them by roasting, grilling, sautéing or baking. Add them to your dishes as an attractive garnish or make them the main event. Enjoy experimenting.
A big bowl of chips will make anyone smile. We love crispy potato or beet chips, which are simple to make with the thin slicing blade on the KitchenAid spiralizer attachment.
Or, spiralize for a curly fry effect. Drizzle with oil and bake in a hot oven with a pinch of salt and perhaps a bit of rosemary. An ideal healthy snack!
You can easily make spiral-cut vegetables of fine and medium thickness with the two included spiralizer blades.
It's no effort at all and satisfying to watch the twirly results tumbling down on to the plate. Swap the blade depending on what you're looking for. You'll soon decide which is best for which dish.
There are lots of ways to appeal to a child's sense of fun. Use the spiralizer attachment to make exciting salads, soups and pizza toppings.
Children love the results and you'll find you can encourage them to try healthier foods and snacks.
What about carrots twists instead of twirly crisps? Or cooked veggie slices instead of chips. Invite them to make a 'flower petal' effect with their sliced mango or apples. Light and quick to munch, sliced and spiralized foods make eating a pleasure.
You can spiralize all sorts of vegetables, as well as some fruits. Here are just a few:
Our spiralizer attachment makes it easy to get creative and make fun, nutritious homemade food. You can spiralize, peel, core and slice with this versatile stand mixer accessory. Make spirals of your favourite fruits and vegetables, such as zucchini, beets, cucumbers, pears, cabbages and carrots. Choose the fine spiralizing blade for thin 4mm strands similar to spaghetti or noodles, and the medium spiralizing blade for 6mm strands. These twirls aren’t just a great way to enjoy raw foods and salads, but can also be added to soups and casseroles, grilled, baked, sautéed and even used as pizza toppings. Try your own ideas. You can also save and effort by slicing, coring and peeling with the various blades of the spiralizer assembly. Slice up apples for pies, peel sweet potatoes or create veggie crisps. This optional stainless steel spiralizer attaches to the hub of your KitchenAid stand mixer (sold separately). All the parts pack away into the neat storage case when you’re done.
