Ingredients

180 g all-purpose flour

1/2 tsp salt

60 g icing sugar

110 g cold butter, cubed

30 ml milk

Step by step

  1. This recipe makes 30 cookies.

  2. Add the flour, salt and icing sugar to the jug of a Food Processor fitted with the Dough Blade. Mix on speed 1 until combined.

  3. Add the butter while mixing on speed 2 until a crumbly dough forms. Add the milk and mix until a soft dough forms. Wrap in cling film and refrigerate for an hour.

  4. Roll the dough out onto a floured surface to a thickness of 5 mm. Cut out cookies and use letter stamps to emboss the cookies with a personalized message.

  5. Place the cookies on a lined baking tray and bake for 10-12 minutes in a 175°C preheated oven. Let cool on a baking tray. The cookies shouldn't be too brown or crispy but rather pale and on the soft side. They will harden as they cool.
