Step by step
Bring 500 ml water up to 90ºC in the electric kettle.
Pour the water into a jug and add the teabags. Let steep for 2 minutes.
Remove the teabags and chill the tea in the refrigerator.
Cut the lemongrass across and chop into small chunks. Put into a small saucepan.
Add 150 ml water, sugar and lemongrass, bring to a boil and let simmer for 15 minutes.
Strain the lemongrass syrup and add to the cold tea.
Serve the iced tea over ice.
