Built for every recipe
KitchenAid's was the first home stand mixer to feature ‘planetary action’. That means the shaft rotates one way, while the accessory rotates the other, spiralling to at least 59 touchpoints around the bowl.
This stand mixer comes with lots of handy accessories for your next making session. You’ll get a whisk for aerating, a dough hook for kneading, and a flex edge beater for stickier mixtures. The pastry beater has horizontal bars, specially for cutting in butter, but also works as a regular paddle for mixing and shredding. We’ve also included a scraper for cleaning it.
Tilt-heads are intuitive and simple. Just put the bowl in place, pop in your chosen beater and lower the head. Pick a speed from 1 for a slow stir, to 6 for beating and creaming, and up to 10 for fast whipping. It will whip cream in less than 60 seconds (2)!
From little bakes to big makes
With this mixer, you get not one, but two, stainless steel bowls. This means you can make extra for batch cooking, or tackle two recipe steps at once. One bowl for cake batter, the other for silky buttercream frosting.
The bigger 4.7 L stainless steel bowl has a comfortable ergonomic handle. It can knead up to 1.7 kg of french bread dough, or mix 9 dozen cookies (3) in a single batch. The 2.8 L stainless steel bowl is perfect for little jobs on the side or just making extra.
