How to plug in your attachment

Before you use it, make sure all the parts are clean and ready to go!

assemble-spiralizer step1

Remove the hub knob

Turn the mixer to OFF (0) and remove the bowl. On a tilt-head mixer, unscrew the hub cover to remove it. On a bowl-lift mixer, flip up the hub cover to open it.

assemble-spiralizer step2

Insert your attachment

Insert the attachment into the hub, making sure the shaft fits into the square socket. You may have to rotate it back and forth slightly. The pin fits into the notch when in the proper position.

assemble-spiralizer step3

Tighten the hub knob

Tighten up the attachment hub knob until the attachment is completely secured to the mixer. It's now ready to start!

Get started with your spiralizer

To prep your food, wash and then remove any stems, cutting the ends off squarely, and removing any eyes. Food should be 3.8 – 9.5 cm wide, and no longer than 14 cm. This ensures proper placement on the skewer.

how-to-spiralizer step1

Install the skewer

Install the fruit and vegetable skewer by slipping onto the skewer mount, and twisting counterclockwise until it clicks into place.

how-to-spiralizer step2

Attach the food

Place a bowl or plate under the spiralizer, then attach the food to the skewer. If using the peeler, install by sliding into the bottom of the blade carrier until it clicks into place.

how-to-spiralizer step3

Install blade

Install your chosen blade. Pull the release lever, then push the blade carrier towards the stand mixer to align the blade core with the centre of the food.

how-to-spiralizer step4

Start making

Press the blade core into the food for added stability. When beginning to cut, start the mixer at speed 1, then adjust to the recommended speed (see guide below). Once you're done, remove the blade before removing your food item.

Guide to choosing blades

Achieve different results with spirals of fine or medium thickness. There's also blades to peel, core and slice. Here's a quick guide to which blade to use.
