If you want to change up a classic cream cheese bagel, this roasted blueberries version will not disappoint.

fresh blueberries

2 tbsp

caster sugar

1 tbsp

lemon zest

1 tbsp

vanilla extract

Step by step

  1. Pour the blueberries onto a lined baking tray and sprinkle with the sugar. Roast for 15 minutes in a 220°C preheated oven. Take out of the oven and leave to cool for a few minutes.

  2. Mix the roasted blueberries with the cream cheese, lemon zest and vanilla extract. Store in the fridge until ready to use.

  3. Slice the bagel in half and insert in the toaster with the flat side facing in. Set the Shade Control to the desired level and press the BAGEL button. Press the TOAST button to begin and end the toasting.

  4. Spread the blueberry cream cheese over the toasted bagel.
