Homemade hash browns with onions

Hash browns are the perfect side dish for meat roasts or just as a pre dinner snack.

Ingredients

large potatoes

2 tsp

all-purpose flour

white onion

1 tsp

salt

olive oil

Step by step

  1. Wash and peel the potatoes. Insert the Reversible Slicing/Shredding Disc (shredding side) into the Food Processor. Shred the potatoes on speed 2.

  2. Put the potatoes in a bowl of ice cold water to remove the starch. Leave it there for 10 minutes.

  3. Drain the grated potatoes, removing all excess water by placing them in a cloth and squeezing the potatoes until water comes out.

  4. Shred the onions in the Food Processor on speed 2. Add to the potatoes. Add flour, egg and salt and mix until everything is combined.

  5. Heat the olive oil in a pan. Make patties from the mixture with your hands. Put them in the pan with the oil and fry both sides until golden brown.
