Ingredients

Serving

720 ml

filtered water

140 g

raw unsalted cashews

24 g

raw cacao powder or unsweetened cocoa powder

55 g

firmly packed chopped pitted dates (5 to 6 dates) or 3 tablespoons pure maple syrup, plus more to taste

1 tsp

natural vanilla extract

pinch

sea salt

1/2 tsp

ground cinnamon, plus more to taste (optional)

1/8 tsp

red pepper flakes or pinch of cayenne peppe (optional)

Step by step

  1. Place all of the ingredients (including any optional boosters) into the blender jar of the KitchenAid® Power Plus® Blender.

  2. Secure the lid and set the blender to the Adapti-Blend™ Soup program. Blend until the machine turns itself off.

  3. Alternatively, blend for about 5 minutes, starting on speed 1 and gradually increasing to speed 10 until hot.

  4. If throwing whole pitted dates in to show the power of the machine the amount will vary depending on the variety and size. Please instruct people to place the cacao powder in with the water and cover with the cashews so that the powder doesn’t fly up into the lid on ignition.
