Step by step

  1. Toast the nuts until golden brown, then leave to cool.

  2. Place in the blender, secure lid and turn dial to Speed 1 and chop until finely ground.

  3. Slowly increase speed to medium high (Speed 8).

  4. Blend, using the tamper to push down ingredients, until the butter has emulsified.
