sourdough discard (unfed sourdough starter)

90 g

all-purpose flour

60 ml

water

1.5 tsp

salt

2 tsp

baking powder

1.5 tsp

sesame oil

3/4 tsp

chili flakes

Step by step

  1. Combine the sourdough discard, flour, water, salt, baking powder, sesame oil, and chili flakes in the bowl of a Stand Mixer fitted with the Mixer Whisk. Chop the herbs and add them to the bowl. Mix on speed 2 until combined.

  2. Heat a lightly greased pan over medium heat and cook the pancakes for about 1 minute on each side until golden brown.
