black beans, drained rinsed and dried

lime

olive oil

smoked paprika

1 tsp

ground cumin

green bell pepper

fine oats

Step by step

  1. Insert the reversible slicing/shredding disc (shredding side) into the food processor, and shred the onion on speed 2.

  2. Change the speed to 1 and shred the green bell pepper. Put aside.

  3. Insert the blade into the food processor. Add the beans, juice from the lime, olive oil, smoked paprika, ground cumin, salt and pepper.

  4. Mix on speed 2 for about 30 seconds until the mixture resembles a chunky purée. Transfer into a bowl.

  5. Add green bell pepper, onion and oats. Mix with hands.

  6. Oil your hands and form burger patties.

  7. Put them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake them in the 180 C preheated oven for 30 minutes (15 minutes on each side).

  8. Serve on a burger bun with rocket salad, tomato slices, pickles, red onion and chipotle sauce.
