Why don't my products of the same colour match?

We love colours and matching sets at KitchenAid. But perhaps your blender and stand mixer, or kettle and toaster don't match. Here's our advice...

Did you treat yourself to matching appliances and then find that the colour doesn't quite match? Find out more below:

We do have a 'colour standard' at KitchenAid: a maximum of one shade colour difference is allowed in relation to the product concerned.

This means that the worst-case scenario is that you may have one product a shade underneath the standard, and the other a shade above the standard. This would then cause a slight colour difference which could be noticeable.

Please note: this colour difference is strongly dependent on the light. Many of our colours are made 'in depth', which means that the colour changes in the strength and direction of the light — something that is especially relevant for curved surfaces.
